The Village Spring
The spring that flows in the center of the village is called by the local people Ein el-Balad – the Village Spring. From this spring Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai) and his son drank when they were hiding in the cave. Around the spring, there are ancient stone houses, and next to the spring extending its braches the famous mulberry tree, which is a testament to the local production of silkworms and silk. Next to the spring, the flag of the Druse ethnic religion is displayed, and the statues of Kamal Jumbalat and Sultan el-Atrash – two of the Druse leaders, stand.
